Perched on a large rock, the temple is almost entirely surrounded by water at high tide. It is believed to protect Bali from evil spirits coming from the sea. According to legend, the great priest Nirartha from East Java was captivated by the site’s beauty and decided to build the temple there. Stroll along the cliffside path to discover the auxiliary temples. In this stunning and romantic setting, visitors are enchanted by the breathtaking scenery, especially at sunset. You will have plenty of time to relax, enjoy the ocean view, and witness Bali’s famous sunset. On the way back, you can stop for lunch or dinner at Echo Beach, a world-renowned surf spot.
